State Vision News Service Ramban, Nov. 28 In a remarkable initiative under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao BBBP scheme, the District Social Welfare Department, in collaboration with Government Degree College Ramban has organized a three day educational tour for Girl Students to Kashmir Valley. The three day tour, hosted on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary, was supervised by Principal GDC Archana Koul and Principal GDC Batote Nirlape Kour. The Girl students have been drawn from across the district, including Gool, Batote, Ukhral, Banihal, and Ramban. The students will visit cultural and heritage landmarks of Kashmir, such as the Avantipora ruins, Shankaracharya Temple, Hazratbal Shrine, and Padshahi Bagh, offering them an opportunity to learn about the region s historical, cultural, and spiritual significance. Speaking to the media, District Social Welfare Officer said The educational tour is a step towards broadening the intellectual horizon of our students and exposing them to the rich heritage of Kashmir. Under the guidance of DC, the tour has been organized to inspire students, foster learning, and promote cultural understanding. He further expressed his gratitude to Principal GDC Ramban, who played a pivotal role in organizing the tour and ensuring its success.
The initiative aligns with the broader goals of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, which focuses on the empowerment and education of girls. Through such activities, students are not only encouraged to excel academically but are also provided with opportunities for experiential learning and personal development. The participants expressed their excitement about the journey and the chance to explore Kashmir s iconic sites.
